The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute at UCL is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral research fellow dedicated to advancing neuroprotection research in ischaemic stroke. The successful candidate will investigate ways to protect the brain from injury due to ischaemia-reperfusion injury, focusing specifically on the PI3K/AKT signalling pathway and evaluating a novel UCL-developed compound in an in vivo Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion (MCAO) stroke model. This is a three-year position funded by the British Heart Foundation.
